Talk about scary business! Recently I had to go to Downtown Detroit to the Wayne County District Court House for work. My defense attorney's office is walking distance from the Court, so he told me to park in the parking garage and meet him in the courtroom. "Umm, Jeff (attorney) I don't know where the heck the court house is." So he told me to walk out of the parking garage and he'd meet me there.
So I am waiting. Nothing. Crap! The court house, um yeah is directly in front of me as I walk out of the parking garage. DUH! So I start walking toward Woodward (yes Woodward in Detroit!!) thinking, his office is on Woodward, I'll meet up with him.
Here I am standing on the street corner, I am certain looking completely LOST, with my Coach purse wide open, not zipped, freaking out. People walking around all over!! Scarewee peepo, I mean scarewee! I am trying to look like I know where I am going. This man is walking up to me. Oh Lord Jesus!! I am dying wondering what the heck he wants. I am putting my gloves on at this point because it was cold and windy. He comes up to me and says...... are you ready for this...... I wasn't........ "Now all you need is something to cover your ears and you'll be warm." WHEW, I was able to breath again and bring my heart rate down. Poor guy was just trying to be nice and I was scared to death.
Almost 5 minutes pass. I am dialing Jeff on my cell phone. "DUDE where the crap are ya!" And yes, that is exactly what I was going to say. Needless to say I have dealt with him on many of my cases and am very comfortable for the most to be "myself" around him. POOR GUY! As the phone starts ringing I see him standing in front of the parking garage waiting for me. Good grief, should have stayed put!
So every thing is cool, I made it, I am alive. We are sitting in the court room waiting for our case to be heard. All of a sudden shear panic sets in. I am in a parking garage and I have no cash! NO CASH!! Do they take Debit I thought?? How the heck am I going to get out of here? Shoot, I am going to have to ask Jeff for money. What a loser and big time DING BAT I am.
And then I remembered that a few days earlier Jim at work had given me $20 to buy goodies for our "community pantry". Thank you Jesus! Whew. It cost me $17.50 for 2 hours parking! Yes, that is right $17.50! That is more than Disney, and I enjoyed Disney. Did not enjoy going to Detroit!!

I have an iPod with all boy songs
Johnny is listening to my iPod right now. He is thinking he might like to take it to school for show and tell. But he doesn't think the girls will like the songs because they are all boys songs. Because the iPod used to belong to David and he's a boy. LOL Dude, your Mom is a girl and she listens to the music. It is not just for boys. Funny kid.
